Scientists have discovered the remains of a previously unknown hominid species on an Indonesian island. The existence of these tiny people could lend more credence to legends of tiny people in other cultures (e.g. Leprechauns).

Scientists have discovered a new and tiny species of human that lived in Indonesia at the same time our own ancestors were colonising the world.

The new species – dubbed “the Hobbit” due to its small size – lived on Flores island until at least 12,000 years ago.

True? Hoax? Who can tell? But rumor says that Andy Kaufman Returns.

It’s not completely official yet, but it appears that the original Star Wars movies (episodes 4-6), will be coming to DVD in September. They will be released as a 4-disk set containing the three movies (the 1997 Special Edition versions), plus a disk of bonus material.

Chewbacca will appear in Star Wars: Episode III. And there are tantalizing hints that there could be a sequel trilogy, as well…

Apparently, JMS has announced that he’s working on some new Babylon 5 related material.

“On the B5 front, there has been something of rather substantial proportion that’s finally gone from talk to money, such that I’m now working frantically to meet some deadlines,” Straczynski posted. “But there’s nothing I can say about this until after January 15th, probably closer to the end of that month.”

I’m for that.

Dark Beer May Be Better for the Heart
